Berries! The very best time of year! Made raspberry shortcake last night for my 101-year old mother-in-law and the shortcake biscuits were not, umm, as fluffy and light as recipe advertised. She (a university Home Economics graduate in 1932) persevered, but we were both thinking about her own recipe for lovely, light tea biscuits. "I add extra butter and sugar," she said, between bites.
