The swamp down the road

A thriving colony of swamp mallows at Pier One, Brooklyn Bridge Park. Hibiscus moscheutos.

To think it took millions and millions of dollars and superstar landscape architects to get them here.

  1. Wow. They grow wild here, along every fence row and by every stream. (Mobile,Alabama)

  2. In some places, local authorities break out the glyphosate!

  3. I grow them here in a polytunnel, summers are usely not hot here. That local authorities in the US spread them with glyphosate is babaric! Well that would be not allowed in our part of the World fortunately!
