I was on Court Street on Friday and the planes appeared to be coming in extraordinarily low, flying parallel to Court. There were low clouds they were dipping in and out or just below that maybe heightened the feeling.
I always think of the plane that crashed on 7th Ave. Watch the newsreel at the end of the post below. http://hereisparkslope.blogspot.com/2009/02/park-slope-plane-crash-of-1960.html
Well, I was just enjoying the sky and the planes, and then I heard the geese, exactly the same flight path!
The planes were very low and following an unusual flight path, usually they and much farther to the east, now they were over me, on Henry, and then banking sharp right above downtown Brooklyn and heading apparently for JFK, not La Guardia.
Your not suggesting bird strikes?

These are very, very sexy planes. :-)
