Six months after being airlifted to a SoHo rooftop this magnolia started to bloom sporadically. It has endured being in the middle of a construction site during that time, having the irrigation cut off, being bumped and shoved, and will wait another month for friendly perennials to come and make a garden with it. There are also three cherries, four maples and a large lilac on the roof, all doing well.
Sometimes gardening in New York is not like gardening at all. More like triage.
LOL, triage. Just like my photography - decide which ones won't make it and which ones might, if I work on them hard enough...
ReplyDeleteWell, the victims are lucky to have you. :-)
