Soiled and Seeded, Spring Edition

The third edition of Soiled and Seeded - the gardening and green zine dedicated to all gardeners, and based out of Toronto - has just been published. I wrote a story for them about field garlic, fresh from our most recent trip to the woods.

It was beautiful -  a bit nippy, with a wind off the Hudson, and the amelanchiers just in bloom.

  1. We have recently enjoyed wild ramps, found under the snow, snuggled up next to the stone wall, at our place in Vermont. What is it about foraged food that is so exquisite?
