Golden rain tree

...has rained.

Koelreuteria paniculata, on Congress and Clinton, about three weeks earlier than last year.

  1. I always confuse 'golden rain' with 'golden chain' tree (i.e. laburnum), so your post coupled with those 'tree's tree' pictures didn't make sense. After a stop at davesgarden I realize my confusion. Has it become apparent yet whether the Abyssinian gladiolus that you overwintered on the terrace indeed survived?

  2. Hi Klaus - if you click on the link in the brief post I think the difference will become apparent.

I am afraid I took my gladioli out - space is a huge issue on my terrace and I wanted to try something new in the pot, but the leaves were healthy so they had every appearance of having made it (it is/was their 4th year on the terrace) I put them up for adoption on the sidewalk...
