Bicycle Portraits needs your help. Now.

Cyclist: John Mungamba, on his way to church.

Stan Engelbrecht and Nic Grobler have just 7 days left to reach their project's fundraising goal of $15,000. As of now (now?...tick tick tick) they have just over $10,132. But if their goal is not met, they get no money. Not a cent. It is returned to donors.

Cyclist: Siphiwe Motloung on his way to school.

The project is Bicycle Portraits: a photographic journey through South Africa, told through the lenses of the photographers and the voices of cyclists. Anyone who rides a bicycle. Old, young, rich, poor, rural, urban, black, white, and all the shades of beige inbetween...

Cyclist: Stephanie Baker on her way to work.

The funding is organized by Brooklyn-based Kickstarter. It matches artists, entrepeneurs and idea-people from across the globe with people who would like to contribute to their projects.
