Small Summer Things

Euphorbia "Diamond Frost". I saw this for the first time early in the summer at Union Square, but apparently it's been around since last year. A very, very nice filler for shady situations: light and frothy without being cute. Don't believe the label that comes with it. It does not like full sun. I had them in full sun at first and they promptly turned yellow and started to cry. It took two weeks for them to recover and they keep getting fuller (yet lighter. Like a souffle?). Now they are scattered about the floor of my terrace and really do sparkle in shady corners.

The parsley crop. What to do with it? Chimichurri sauce? Hm. Need steak.

  1. no problem - I'm coming for a braai tomorrow! How about braai'd parsley, or can one only deep fry it?
