Look up


Prickly pears (possibly Opuntia humifusa, which is our indigenous eastern prickly pear), growing happily in a narrow windowbox high above Joralemon Street.


Geraniums and a caladium facing the water above the Brooklyn Heights Promenade.

  1. Definitely Opuntia humifusa - I have those on my outside windowsill as well, though mine are not nearly as nice.
