There are some quick pickles next door at 66 Square Feet (the Food).

The same pickling ration could just as easily be applied to celery, carrots, beets, radishes (beware: the latter smell a bit funny, but taste wonderful). After half an hour they taste pickled and are a refreshing addition to any salad, to burgers, banh mi and...well, whatever else you can think of.
