Prince Street Black Cats
And on that note, adieu from New York, from Brooklyn, from the terrace, from the tiny kitchen, for the time being. I shall land in Cape Town after flying in a high straight line from the East Coast, across the Atlantic, past Dakar in Senegal on the bulge of Africa, over the Guinea and Angola Basins, back over the land somewhere in Angola, sideways down the southern continent, and into Johannesburg. A change of planes, my first taste of Appletizer as we fly down to Cape Town, and then suddenly, it will be summer.
The next post will be out of Cape Town, sometime. Thank you for visiting. Stay tuned...
I'm always excited when you go down to Africa in winter. Love the summer pics, the lunches and dinners under the tree, your parents magical garden, all the stories...it's like a favorite book on a long, cold winter evening :)
ReplyDeleteHave a safe trip!
Travel safe and see you soon in South Africa's Summertime ;-)
ReplyDeleteBye, Marie! Have a safe, easy journey, and looking forward to hearing from you in SA! You're leaving just on time with more snow predicted for later in this week. I hope you will find all well at your parents' house...and perhaps a new kitty moving in with the corgis...
ReplyDeleteSafe travels Marie and happy landings in Cape Town. Thank you for a fabulous year of inspiration.
ReplyDeleteWell, I would say your first taste of Appletizer will probably come very soon after leaving New York...
ReplyDeleteHave a safe and wonderful trip. Enjoy some boerewors!
ReplyDeleteAre you up up and away already?
ReplyDeleteIf not, happy trails.
If so, till we meet again.
Happy holidays my muse.

I just cannot imagine that. Leaving the snow and arriving in the sunshine of summer. Does your body or head get confused? Is it a shock or a great experience? I bet it is wonderful to see family again (and Corgis!) despite what the weather is. Have a great holiday. Can't wait to see the photos of your meetings with other bloggers.
ReplyDeleteWelcome home.
ReplyDeleteLove the urban decor. (I'll admit it, I giggled.)
ReplyDeleteSafe travels!
Love the black cat graffiti. It's great! I can really see my black cat trying to get hold of some unmarked cans of tuna somewhere!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to reading your posts from SA!
Have a fun and safe trip!
ReplyDeleteWishing you and Vince and all of your family a lovely happy time together at Christmas and beyond!
