The last rose


The November rose.


It bloomed for two weeks. 


The oak trees across the road shed their brown leaves.


And last night the November rose gave up the ghost.

    I found your blog when my son and daughter-in-law moved to NYC and were lamenting how much less square footage their rent would buy them. But now I check in daily (from my home at a remote beach in the panhandle of Florida) to enjoy the beautiful photography of flowers, fruits and food. You earlier photo of this rose from a different angle is my current screensaver on my iPad. It makes me happy every time I see it. Thank you.
