Did you infuse the vodka with the sumac? Might you offer a recipe, advice, general thoughts? This sounds divine!
Yes. The whole recipe is in my book (August chapter, I think) - but basically: cover ripe sumac with decent vodka, leave for a couple of weeks, and strain. It takes on a tart and slightly tannic flavor.
Thanks! We love the taste of sumac & this Concoction will do wonders at 5p.m. (when 7, our daughter rechristened the cocktail)
