What a great discovery this posting has been! I didn't know that field garlic is what's growing all over my yard (planted by the previous homeowner). I always thought they were chives :-). I might try the recipe soon. But...what if they are chives? Would the recipe still work? Thanks!
Chives will work very well. Also you can use just the greens, if you like.
Another common name for field garlic is "lawn chives" :-)
