There is a small black cat that lounges often outside a house on the next block. Yesterday, when it saw me coming, it got up to come and meet me. The collar gives the kitty's address - one door down from the lounging spot - and name: Petro.
It looks like a lovely tree lined street. Perhaps Storbie has sent one of his keetens to watch over you and the Smoothman. I see happiness in your new home and a beautiful garden.
Neighborhood kitties are the best! There are several on my various dog walk routes and I love greeting them. Most have learned that Maggie likes cats, so we all socialize for a few minutes, then go our ways. Always leaves me smiling.
This made my day. Like other posters above, I have a feeling that Don Estorbo just might have something to do with this. After all, cars like gods, work in mysterious ways. Best as always, Diane at 5,280 feet
Clearing out books and papers, I ran across this recipe for mosquito repellent 8 oz almond oil 1/4 tsp lemon eucalyptus essential oil 1/8 tsp each lavender and geranium essential oils Do a skin test before using with enthusiasm (of course).

Ah! And a black cat at that. So perfect for you. I'm so excited to see this new space take shape!

ReplyDeleteI thought the same exact thing: Storbie's compadres sent to take care of his hoomans.
DeleteHow wonderful! A friendly black kitty.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful, furry welcome wagon.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet. A Storbie relative. I hope he is very very smart about cars.
ReplyDeleteI hope so too. We have seen him/her almost every day.
DeleteStorbie would be pleased that you are making new friends!
ReplyDeleteBest greeter on the block!
ReplyDeleteHello, neighbor kitty! A good sign, for sure <3

"Cats," not "cars" work in mysterious ways. What a funny typo! (Of course, to me, when cars work, it is in mysterious ways!
ReplyDeleteCheers,

A wonderful welcome.
ReplyDeleteSweetness at last.
ReplyDelete"-ro" rather than "-ra" suggests a he-cat.

He/she is so sweet I had to pet the nose in the picture. I agree with the other one of the keetens has come to watch over you.
ReplyDeleteYou're in good company. Very good company it seems.
ReplyDeletePetro looks very like Sporran.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful the street is. The spirit of don estorbo is close.
ReplyDeleteIf the cat recognizes you, you are already a regular. Welcome home!
