The fleet


What, me? Eccentric?


You do what you have to do to get through the day. If Garbo could have little troll dolls under her sofa, I can have a fleet of yellow cabs on my kitchen island.

They were bought as gifts, but now I want to keep them.

We can have races. We already have cliff-jumping dares.

  2. Everyone should be entitled to have a bit of whimsy in their home that makes them happy. Around here it is the small carved wooden bear that wears seasonal outfits. Right now he has a red crocheted scarf and is holding a flash card that says "turkey".

  4. I say you keep 'em. And add to your collection, maybe some miniature stoplights and pedestrian figurines. A mounted police officer too. Then you can do some godlike orchestrating of traffic when you're a little bored. Why not?

  5. I love it! (Mine is a man's stars-and-stripes tie given to me the night before Katrina hit by a member of a wonderful New Orleans brass street band; it hangs from a candle sconce in the dining room.) Now am thinking 'what about taxicabs too.' :-)))))) Love nonsense that brings a smile.
