    1. Thank you, Leslie. These are Nicotiana mutabilis. I cut them back after the flowers drop and then they send another one or two flowering stalks...

  4. Your photos made me smile. We have a squirrel that shares our bounty with the birds too. What I love most, though, is the melodies the birds sing in exchange for our 'goodness.'

    1. I am usually at war with the squirrel, but can't help liking him when he behaves like this... Yes, birdsong is wonderful, especially in a city like this!

  5. The squirrels and chipmunks can be little brats, digging up my pots, but I still delight in seeing them scamper about with their antics! Great photos!

  6. Wonderful. Shows a great sense of humor and equanimity. Something invaded my garden last night,digging in boxes and knocking over stacks of pots in the shed. If I had caught the little (or maybe not so little) sob I would not have had such good humor.
