Fall in New York
This morning I passed these cherries on West 73rd Street, on my walk back from the gardens I had just looked at with a view to giving them a major overhaul (deep. deep. deep shade. sigh).

what kind of trees are these? How do they fare in a container like the ones in the photo? Do they grow in them? Thrive? I would love more info.
ReplyDeleteHi Anonymouse - these are 'Kwanzan' cherries. OK in a container if root- pruned every other year in fall. Container should be 8" larger than rootball all around, and with at least 18" soil at bottom.
