Butter, on bread.
And maybe later, some jam.
I counted the proverbial seven sorts of seed in the loaf we bought at Stinky: corn, wheat, oats, sesame, poppy, flax, sunflower.
The butter was from Vermont Butter and Cheese Co.
The jam was Mrs Robertson's recipe, and was in the fridge, made last year from the last apricots at the farmers' market.
Mi chica, welcome home. I mees your apt and our hood.
ReplyDeleteThings are good in Durham. Spring is here already. Life is quiet, though we've befriended a blue haired professor. Lucas is obsessed with Spiderman.
We have a wedding in Brooklyn in May and we are hoping we can make it. Loved all your stories and pics. Cons
Mi amiga!! - I meess you, too! You have spring??? Like, weird :-)
ReplyDeleteLucas should talk to Panio about the Spiderman thing, learn from a pro...
It would be wonderful to see you, and in May, which is, as you know, our spring, or the late part of it...dreenks on the terrace?
I was thinking of you, walking about the cold streets here yesterday, hoping you might turn the corner and see me....
"Hide in the hiding place where no one ever goes.
ReplyDeletePut it in your pantry with your cupcakes.
It's a little secret just the Robertson's affair.
Most of all you've got to hide it from the cat.
And here's to you, Mrs Robertson,
We all love your jam I'll have you know..."
