Your photos made me smile. We have a squirrel that shares our bounty with the birds too. What I love most, though, is the melodies the birds sing in exchange for our 'goodness.'
I am usually at war with the squirrel, but can't help liking him when he behaves like this... Yes, birdsong is wonderful, especially in a city like this!
Wonderful. Shows a great sense of humor and equanimity. Something invaded my garden last night, digging in boxes and knocking over stacks of pots in the shed. If I had caught the little (or maybe not so little) sob I would not have had such good humor.
Love your back yard. Such a change from when u moved in. What're the pink and white flowers in front of the Frenchman?
ReplyDeleteThank you, Leslie. These are Nicotiana mutabilis. I cut them back after the flowers drop and then they send another one or two flowering stalks...
DeleteSuch varied visitors! The chaise lounge cracked me up.😂
ReplyDeleteCracked me up, too. He was very hot that day.
DeleteThank you for sharing with the local animals the multi-faceted haven you have created(and for the great pictures of them enjoying it)!
ReplyDeleteSo many pictures I don't get. 11pm opossum. Blueberrying bluejay... :-)

DeleteThe squirrels and chipmunks can be little brats, digging up my pots, but I still delight in seeing them scamper about with their antics! Great photos!
