New York in November

This was November:

Silene capensis (native to South Africa), striped wintergreen (Chimaphila maculata) and asters.
Poss. amanita, oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus sotreatus) and another amanita
Photinia villosa [thank you, Janet], white oak (Quercus alba) and Gingko biloba.
Beautyberry (Callicarpa americana), delicious date plum (Diospyros lotus) and crabapples (Malus).

The late-month mosaics are running out of flowers, and I find it hard to accept that we already nearing the end of the first week of December. My end-of-December post will be from Cape Town, if the Internet at my parents' house is cooperating, and it is quite possible that the mosaic will not accommodate half of what I find there, in the middle of the southern summer.
