The last, recalcitrant garlics have sprouted and are lagging 6" behind the rest. I have planted summer savoury seedlings in the gaps, so this bath should be full of bees in a few months.
The first rose party on the terrace was held on May 23rd, 2007. That's a bit sobering. Why? Because the roses are opening now, a mere month ahead of schedule. If summer is coming early does that mean that fall will, too? I hope so.Yesterday a parcel arrived from Brent and Becky's. A replacement Begonia grandis and two replacement Lilium superbum. So all is well in bulb world, and I thank them.

Last year I had a dream that I fell asleep during Spring and Summer and woke up in October. I was so relieved when I realized it was just a dream & it was still Spring!
