We celebrated the greencard (which is actually white with some pink) and the greencard interview, by eating baked pork buns at Dim Sum Go Go on East Broadway in Chinatown. We might have had some dumplings, too. And a bit of Chinese beer.Then we walked east, to the subway.

Oh these buns look heavenly!! If they were only brioche perfumed with orange blossom essence, I'd already be hitchhiking over!
ReplyDeleteIsn't that just the weirdest thing.....to my knowledge, the "green card" has never, ever, no sir, never been green. Really weird!

the quickest of googles yields the info that green cards were green (or greenish) prior to 1976 (or '78)
