This was the terrace early on Sunday morning, around 6.40am. It was very hard to leave it before the sun was up. Snow pictures are the best of all.
Official reports say 10.9", and I remember the record snow of 2006 - imagine how the terrace was buried then.
But, bleary-eyed, we had a train to catch, and set off down the snow-covered steps for the street, where early neighbours were shoveling their sidewalks.
It was easier to walk down the middle of Congress Street. Not bad at all, and nothing like farther south.
My suitcase, Daisy, waiting for her cab to Penn Station.
Our train, The Adirondack, left only an hour behind schedule.
And then the real fun began.
Have a safe trip and an amazing time!

ReplyDeleteSend us the next chapter NOW!!
That snow piled up everywhere doesn't look real, more like a stage set. I hope you both have a wonderful Christmas and that 2010 will bring you everything of the best. Hamba kahle.
