Above pic : AP, Jason DeCrow.I did not see these fireworks. Twenty two tons of them. They were shot off from the Hudson this year, while I waited in vain on my rooftop for last year's East River barges to do their thing. No barges.
Instead I made do with 66 Square Feet's view of ...Jersey fireworks?
LOL, that's incredible, wait until you see the similarities between my July 1st fireworks pictures and yours. Same size, almost same skyline.
ReplyDeleteThe "Jersey" fireworks (like a Jersey Cow) weren't bad and I think for the first time gave the NY show a run for the money (that cow, always running).
ReplyDeleteLast year i was driving back from Vermont on the 3rd of July...seem to recall it was rainy...and all the way from the Tappan Zee bridge area down through northern NJ i saw some great fireworks which kept startling the heck out of me as they suddenly bloomed in my peripheral vision as i drove past. The best was a grand finale around 10 p.m. in the vicinity of Elizabeth...said to have a large Brazillian population that loves to parrrty for the 4th of July.
