    I realize that these articles are not really speaking to informed people. I like the bazillion viewpoints of the web over the singular narrative of the times storyline.
    These articles are so thin, maybe they're not getting their vegetables!

  3. Heheheh. Sure looks like the article. Grumble, grumble. Fewer pests on rooftops? I should tell my snails that. Um...what do you do with snails, if you get them?

    Dinahmow - NE Australian radishes. Sounds so exotic. Yum. So let me get this straight. You have a tamarind tree. But right now it's really cold (temp)and radishes grow well. very interesting climate. Does the tamarind make the pods and do you eat them?

    Karen...yes, very, and really good. There's a place in Alphabet City call Zum Schneider, where you drink beer. And to eat you can order sliced radishes, which they put on very good, seedy brown bread with butter.

  4. Funny, I thought the very same thing! I mean about pests. They must be talking about rabbits!

    I half-heartedly attempted to re-organize the side veg garden this morning and after moving the planters I revealed the biggest slugs, which I threw in the compost pile. As they elongated and slithered away I thought 'people must eat these, they're so meaty and if your gonna put salt on themm why not after cooking. Have you ever eaten a slug?
