Last of the Summer Anchovies

Roasted red peppers, skinned. Garlic and anchovies, a splash of sherry vinegar, cooked over low heat for ten minutes and poured over. You need good bread for this.

  1. Why the last of the summer anchovies? Did you preserve a special batch and these are the last ones? Such a sentence makes me nervous!

    BTW: I stumbled onto your blog through another and have spent several lovely hours reading about 66 Square Feet and what seems to be the funniest, most black and large cat in the world.

    The large cat will be pleased about your feelings. He says, if you have any anchovies, please forward :-)
