Every year I used to climb the tree to pick the berries at the top (competing with the birds), while my mom and sister climbed under its branches and picked those within reach from the ground (competing with our dalmatian). When my mom did alterations on the house, she built AROUND the tree. It is what I miss most from my childhood home.
