I grew up outside of Jo'bur...I loved this post! I grew up outside of Jo'burg, and have a similar experience about hot food... curry and rice while I was a kid. We would go for Chinese food in town, but it was never spicy. Once I moved to the US in 1986, I tasted Thai food and immediately fell in love! I also decided that Chinese food was bland. I lived in Arizona for most of my stay in the US and learned to appreciate the roasted Hatch. Still my favorite spicy is Wasabi.<br /><br />BTW - the wings look AMAZING!!!
