I found a little circle...Wow glad I looked on here! I found a little circle of these on our honeysuckle bushes while pruning today, here in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan. I thought too that they were ladybugs and put them in a jar with holes in the top hoping to release them into the garden... NOT!! Thank you to all those who commented. Maybe wait and see what they do. Even though there are no aphids on the fig tree, the mother ladybug must have had a reason to lay eggs there.
