Calvados cocktail

In this drink: one part Calvados, shaken with lime zest, a teapsoon* of brown sugar and plenty of ice, and topped in the glass with four parts sparkling Grüner Veltliner.

* a special, Brooklyn sort of measurement.

Lambert, the wine was Szigeti. Hope you have it in your hood.

  4. Szigeti is a fantastic sparkling Gruner! Have you had it on its own? Definitely doesn't even need to be mixed in a cocktail to be fab :)

  5. Constance - it is a very good sparkling wine - I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, had it on its own too with dinner. One could make a similar argument about Champagne, sugar cubes and bitters. But I do like cocktails :-)
